A new birding tour, through the Parque Natural del Alto Ebro y Rudrón Nature Reserve.
The day promised to be good, just outside the Inn, we saw a pair of Peregrine Falcon in flight and perched just in front of the Inn.
Up to 51 different species including one that is not usual, the Fan-tailed Warbler. The mildness of this winter, has allowed the species conditioned by temperature and appear more normal.
For 5 hours, we crossed the valleys, highland areas, and canyons, with good birds records from several raptors, GriffonVultures, Egyptian Vultures, Short-toed Eagles, Honey Buzzards, ... and several heard and seen, Darford Warbler, Bonelli's Warbler, Garden Warbler, Iberian Chiffchaff ….
One of the most visible during the whole journey was Stonechat, also allowed to see some pairs of Whinchat.
As always, the Villages are, curiously a good place to watch birds, Redstarts, Martins, Swallows, Swifts, Thrushes, Sparrows, Wagtails....
Another observation spectacular, though brief, was that of the Golden Oriole. Being especially abundant this year.
Thanks to Carolyn and Richard by their interest in the birds of Burgos, two good birders!!.
