- Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis). 1 bird 05-09-10 Atapuerca lagoons (Tim Robinson).

- Eurasian Spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia). 3 birds 04-09-10 Ebro water reservoir , 2 in Requejo 1 in Orzales (Alejandro García Herrera). again 1 bird in Requejo (C) el 15-09-10 (Francisco Javier Portillo Carpintero, Manuel Estébanez Ruiz) , 1 bird 16-09-10 (Javier Morala Muñoz). 1 bird 18-09-10 Villafría, Ebro water reservoir (José Luis Lobo Cueva).

The 3rd trip in Bricia


A new bidwatching trip, round the area of Bricia region and water reservoir of river Ebro with a 54 species recorded in only four hours in the morning.
We saw the ouk forest the pastures and farmland areas and a little area of the water reservoir near of the San Vicente de Villamezan village.
We saw the follow list of birds

2nd Bird Census in VN4040

The last season of the census of breeding common birds, (European Bird Census ), in square VN4040, 63 species of birds in 2010 (two tours). A total of 96 species in twelve years.
Four new birds for this square,
Common Quail, Common Pochard, Marsh Tit and Great Cormorant.

New trip in region of Bricia

Again in the region of Bricia and again searching Lesser Kestrels and again without find any.
Even so a good day of birdwatching with 44 species, and a good number of birds, we saw flocks of House Martins and smaller flocks of Barn Swallows and Common Swift, all of them in active migration towards Africa.
In the water reservoir of the river Ebro, at the beginning of the migration, little numbers of birds.
But, some interesting records, Purple Heron a juvenile bird, Ruddy Shelduck and the first little flocks of Black-necked Grebe
